When woven into bags, water hyacinth is sturdy enough for long-lasting use, yet soft for a woman's hands, and has a slight, luxurious smoothness that won't scratch fabric surfaces. This is the main material COMAY has been using to date. For large bag designs, sedge grass is now an ideal choice due to its light weight, large capacity, and the characteristic wildness of the material.
To achieve the sophistication of a COMAY bag, artisans must always focus on the surface of the fiber during weaving, as even a small mistake can make the bag rough. It is this meticulousness that ensures COMAY's water hyacinth and sedge bags are of good quality, highly durable, and sufficiently streamlined for various occasions such as work, holidays, and parties, not limited to travel like traditional "rush bags."
